Massachusetts Homebound Vaccination Program
In-home vaccinations are available for those who are homebound and unable to leave their home to travel to a physical vaccination site, even with assistance. Such individuals who would be eligible to for an in-home vaccination either:
- Have considerable difficulty and/or require significant support to leave the home for medical appointments
- Require an ambulance or the assistance of two or more people to leave the home
- Are unable to leave their home for medical appointments under normal circumstances
If you feel you might be eligible for an in-home vaccination or know someone who might be, you are encouraged to call the Homebound Vaccination Central Intake Line at 833-983-0485. When calling this hotline, you will speak to a representative who will ask a couple of qualifying questions to determine whether or not an individual is eligible for an in-home vaccination. If an in-home vaccination is appropriate, you will be registered with the State Homebound Vaccine Provider or referred to your local Board of Health if their staff is administering in-home vaccinations.
