Saturday, April 27, 2019 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. It is essential that we dispose of our medications properly. Please take a moment to review what is inside your medicine cabinet and take advantage of this opportunity to safely remove leftover or outdated medicine. Some medicines cannot simply be flushed or discard. For that reason the DEA has outlined the best way to dispose of medicine you may have. Take a look at here.
The DEA reported that last fall Americans turned in nearly 460 tons (more than 900,000 pounds) of prescription drugs at more than 5,800 sites operated by the DEA and almost 4,800 of its state and local law enforcement partners. Disposing of prescription medications responsibly is good for the community and the environment. Please take a moment and do your part. Find the location closest to you.
